Biography

Andrea Alexander was appointed as a Lay Bencher of the LSO by Ontario’s Attorney General in 2003. Following this four-year term, she was one of the first three Lay Adjudicators hired by the Law Society to augment the roster of eight appointed Lay Benchers to serve on the Hearing Panels. A McGill graduate, she taught secondary school in the Toronto Board of Education and followed this by many years as a full-time volunteer in the arts, serving on national, provincial, and city arts boards and committees engaged in advocacy, fundraising, festivals and other project activities. She continues to be an active participant in political, social service and arts organizations in Toronto.
