Biography

Cathy Corsetti is the President and Co-founder of Corsetti Paralegal Professional Corporation & Associates, which has specialized in Landlord and Tenant Board matters for over 40 years. She graduated from Humber College’s Law Clerk Program in 1977, and was awarded an Honorary Bachelor Degree in Applied Studies in 2015. Ms. Corsetti was elected to the Law Society in 2010, serving from then to 2014 as Chair to the Paralegal Standing Committee. She was an Elected Bencher at the Law Society from 2014-2019, and was re-elected for the 2019-2023 term.

Ms. Corsetti was Instrumental in forming the following: Law Society Distinguished Paralegal Award; Paralegal Welcome Reception; Five-year review of paralegal licensing; Law Society Referral Service to include paralegals; Members Assistant Program; CAN; Officers of the Court; Commissioners of Oath; and Notary appointments for Paralegals.

She is currently the Chair of the Access to Justice Committee and the Family Law working group. She’s also a current member & past Chair of the Paralegal Standing Committee & Audit & Finance.

Ms. Corsetti is a regular presenter at Law Society CPD programs, as well as a part-time Professor at Mohawk College, teaching Ethics & Professional Responsibility, and Landlord & Tenant Law.
