Biography

Doug Wellman has owned and operated Wellman Financial since 1971, where he provides personalized benefit planning to individuals and companies around life, disability, critical illness insurance, corporate health and dental programs and pensions. Since 2014 Mr. Wellman has served as the Chair of the Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park Stewardship Council. Mr. Wellman served as Ward Councilor in the City of Pickering from 1991 to 1994, as the Treasurer on the Board of the Ajax-Pickering Hospital from 1992 to 1998, Chair of the Ajax-Pickering United Way Campaign in 1992, and as the Chair of the Bancroft Area Stewardship Council from 2011 to 2016. He is the recipient of the Paul Harris Award from Rotary International.
