Biography

Gina Papageorgiou has been counsel to the Class Proceedings Committee of the Law Foundation of Ontario since 2006. She has been a Bencher with the Law Society of Ontario (“LSO”) since 2015. She currently sits on multiple Committees at the LSO. She is also a Board member of the Ontario Justice Education Network (2018- current). She is a former Vice-Chair of the Equity and Indigenous Advisory Committee of the LSO (2016- 2018), former Vice-Chair of the Access to Justice Committee of the LSO (2016 to 2018), former member of the Treasurers’ Advisory Committee (2016-2018), former Board member and Vice-Chair and Treasurer of the Human Rights Legal Support Centre (2008- 2017), and has sat as a Deputy Small Claims Court Judge since 2008. She was previously the President of the Board of the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, a Speaker with the United Way Speakers series, an appointed Special Investigator of sexual harassment at York University, a member of the Commercial Court Users Committee, a lecturer with the University of Toronto, a partner in the Toronto litigation department of McCarthy Tetrault and a former associate at Stikeman Elliott.
