Joseph Chiummiento has been a Bencher of the Law Society of Ontario since 2019, and founded a small corporate and securities law firm initially practising in Toronto and then moved to the City of Vaughan. Prior to focusing on corporate and securities law Joseph worked as a litigator in the areas of construction, tax and contract disputes. His transaction experience includes working with companies from formation to IPO, managing stakeholder engagement, conducting internal investigations and building corporate governance structures for management teams dealing with change. He has been a director of and chaired various Audit Committees and Compensation Committees for public and private companies, including a private mutual fund, and is involved in various committees as either a member or vice-chair with other Benchers at the Law Society of Ontario. Joseph is a Coach for the LSO’s Coach and Advisor Network and earned his LL.B. from Windsor (2001), his B.A. in Psychology (1993) and a Bachelors of Social Work (1995) from York University.
