Biography

Thomas G. Conway was called to the bar of Ontario in 1989. He is a partner in Conway Baxter Wilson LLP, an Ottawa-based litigation boutique. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Calgary. He graduated from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 1987. In June 2012, Mr. Conway was acclaimed as the 64th Treasurer of the Law Society of Upper Canada, now the Law Society of Ontario. In 2014, he served as president of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. From 2007 to 2012, Mr. Conway was an adjudicator on the hearing panel of The Law Society of Upper Canada. In 2017, the Law Society of Ontario granted Mr. Conway a Doctor of Laws degree, honoris causa. He is an honourary member of Law Society of Alberta, the Law Society of Saskatchewan and the Law Society of Manitoba. Mr. Conway speaks English and French.
