Biography

Cheryl Siran is a Partner at Hook, Seller & Lundin LLP in Kenora, with a general practice typically split among residential real estate transactions and civil litigation—primarily focused on construction, real estate, and Estates.  She was also appointed a Deputy Judge of the Small Claims Court in 2018, and continues to serve in that capacity in the Northwest Region. 

Active in the legal profession throughout her career, she is a Past Chair of the Federation of Ontario Law Associations, and served on its Board for seven years, much of which as its Northwest Regional Representative. Additionally, she is in her second term on the Ontario Judicial Appointments Advisory Committee for appointments to the Ontario Court of Justice.  Cheryl served two terms as President of the Kenora District Law Association, a term on the Ontario Deputy Judges Association, was on the provincial Board for LibraryCo from 2014 to 2019, and is a current member of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario.  Outside of the legal volunteering, Cheryl also is a Board Member of the Pellatt United Firefighters (PUFF) in her local community.  

Cheryl graduated from the University of Manitoba with her Bachelor of Arts in 2001 and Bachelor of Laws in 2005.
