He has always demonstrated great leadership by leveraging his experience for the benefit of French-language Catholic schools in Eastern Ontario.
Moreover, beyond his role as Director of Education for a school board, François was heavily involved at the provincial and national levels to promote and defend key issues in French-language education.
Mr. Turpin notably sat on the Executive Committee of the RNDGE (National French Network for Education) as well as the Coordinating Committee of the Tripartite Committee, which brings together representatives from the federal government, provincial and territorial Ministries of Education, and the Francophone school and community sectors.
At the provincial level, Mr. Turpin was a member of the Conseil ontarien des directions de l’éducation de langue française (CODELF – Ontario Council of French-Language Education Directors). He also co-chaired the Ontario Consultation Group on Teacher Shortages in French-Language Schools.
