Biography

Leslie Maunder is an adjudicator. In addition to the Law Society Tribunal, Leslie is an Alternate Chair on the Ontario Review Board and a Senior Legal Member of the Consent and Capacity Board. Prior to becoming a full-time adjudicator in 2021, Leslie was discipline counsel at the Law Society of Ontario and prior to that a criminal appeal lawyer. When newly called, Leslie ran her own practice doing criminal defence, administrative law, and select civil litigation. Leslie has argued appeals at the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. For many years, she volunteered with the Court of Appeal Inmate Appeals Program. Leslie is a regular contributor to legal education and professional development programmes about decision writing, adjudicating, and mental health law.
