Biography

Teresa Donnelly was a prosecutor with the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General from 1994-January 2026. During that time, she was the Crown Attorney for the County of Huron (2011-2015) and the West Region Sexual Violence Crown, Sexual Violence Advisory Group (2015-2020, 2022-2026). As West Region Sexual Violence Crown she was one of 7 full-time prosecutors in Ontario dedicated to enhancing the quality of sexual violence prosecutions. As a Crown, Teresa was dedicated to prosecutions involving violence against women and children – both domestic violence and sexual violence. Teresa was the Treasurer or President of the Law Society of Ontario from June 2020-June 2022 where her focus included the mental health of legal practitioners, EDI, reconciliation, the competence and ethical responsibilities of lawyers and paralegals and access to justice.
